Happy Friday! Who else is excited the long weekend is finally here? This week was one that seemed to go on forever! I can’t wait to sleep in, dig into a good book by the pool, and spend time with friends and family. Today has marks the unofficial start to summer, and though truth be told I started wearing white weeks ago (okay, I never really stopped after last summer), but I’m looking forward to being able to “technically” wear white.
One of my favorite things about taking blog photos in Charleston was that the backdrop was almost enough all on its own! As I talked about here, I was mesmerized by all the houses and each one’s unique character. When packing for the trip, I knew each look I wore there didn’t have too be anything over the top and special – the Charleston charm in the background would compliment just about anything!
I can’t believe Memorial Day is just around the corner! It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating New Year’s – and here we are already at the unofficial start to summer. Whether you’re spending the weekend being lazy by the pool, cooking a delicious meal with family and friends, or sneaking away for the long weekend, I’ve put together a guide with a few of my must haves for the holiday!
Over the next week, I’ll be continuing to share with you little snippets of our trip last weekend to Charleston. As I mentioned in a previous post, we were only there for a couple of days, and I barely felt like we even scratched the surface of how much there is to do in Charleston! When Ryan and I went downtown shoot some photos one morning, it literally took us an hour to move past the same block. Each driveway seemed to tell a different story – each with it’s own unique landscaping and style.
I can’t believe it’s already been a week since I was headed down to beautiful Charleston. I’ve been sharing a ton of photos from our trip via Instagram, but I still have serval more looks to share over the next couple of weeks! This one, however, has been one of my most anticipated. And by that I don’t mean since my trip last weekend, I mean since I saw it in Anthropologie Durham for the first time.
