Weekly happenings vol. 95

Hi hi, happy Thursday! I’m up bright and early this morning to have some coffee and head over to The Met for members hours–I’m excited to go see the Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty exhibition! It’s been a computer work filled week, so a little museum escape is just what I need. Nothing makes me embrace my inner Gossip Girl dreams like a morning spent at The Met…

Here’s a look into what I got up to the last few days… wishing you all a lovely rest of your week!

xx

The cutest handmade from vintage fabric pillow cover from my favorite Etsy shop, Market & Goods. I couldn’t resist the beautiful colors! I mentioned this on stories, but the shop owner has the BEST eye for small home accessories and the shipping is so fast. They are a go-to for me when I need smaller styling items!

One of the most incredible PR deliveries I’ve ever received from Nest! Their new scent, Santorini Olive & Citron, is the perfect mix of fresh lemon zest and Mediterranean olive leaf blended with creamy avocado and hints of black pepper… so unique. They delivered the new collection along with the most delicious mezze platter from By Saison. I’m obsessed with everything they make and do–secretly trying to plan an event just to have them cater.

The makings of this week’s menu! As convenient as a quick Pinterest meal search can be, I find flipping through my collection of cookbooks to be therapeutic. I’ll usually pull a handful off the shelf and challenge myself to cook at least two meals from the cookbooks each week. I’m currently obsessed with the seasonal selections from Nigel Slater’s Greenfest and The Edible Flower by Erin Bunting & Jo Facer. I’m also experimenting with new homemade pasta shapes, so Pasta is on constant rotation. I had no idea until this week that the author is the co-founder of Misi, my latest NYC restaurant crush.

Easing into my day with slower mornings lately–I stopped after my flower market run to grab a pastry and a coffee instead of rushing home. I’m still working my way through Rick Rubin’s The Creative Act and I loved the quote on this page.

The prettiest blooms at the flower market this past week–these colors literally stopped me in my tracks on the sidewalk and I had to take a quick snap!

This blank wall had been bothering me for months… none of my existing framed art felt quite right in the space. I happened upon this piece the other day on Etsy and it spoke to me–it’s a print on canvas (I was hoping for an original but when art speaks, you listen) and I think the colors are just enough for the space. It reminds me slightly of Van Gogh’s Roses and brings me so much joy.

Snuggles with my best ♥

This week’s blooms (Queen Anne’s Lace & Italian Ruscus) + my new Nest candle filling the room.

A lovely delivery of Lake & Skye’s new 11 11 fragrance! I was introduced to this brand upstate over Easter and fell in love instantly. The latest scent is a blend of white amber and musk–so uplifting and ethereal. It’s the perfect spa-like fragrance for a bathroom or bedside table. PS. They are currently offering 20% off with code MOTHERSDAY (great gift idea!)
