Weekly happenings vol. 94

Hello! I hope we’re all having a wonderful start to the new week! I’m actually feeling very excited and ready to go for the week after a relaxing weekend. I was able to check off a couple of things from my spring bucket list, and am already elbow deep in some home projects that came to mind over the weekend. Inspiration is coming in spurts these days, so I’m trying to be better at riding the wave of motivation when it hits.

It’s going to be a quiet week around here–which I’m actually really excited for. I’m planning on finishing things around the apartment, making it to a workout class every day, writing lots and working my way through some homemade pasta recipes. All my favorite things!

Wishing you a lovely week!

xx

Lilac season is here 💜 I truly wait for these couple of weeks all year–the soft lavender hues always spark so much joy for me. Heading out to replenish my stash later today!

I grew up dancing through college and didn’t realize how much I missed it until I started taking a weekly ballet class at my gym. While its very beginner, there’s something so healing about having absolutely no pressure to be perfect, or really, even any good. I look forward to it every weekend and it’s been one of the best things I’ve done for my mental health recently.

Two current beauty faves–my daily scent by Byredo and my go-to spring/summer lotion, Nectarine Blossom & Honey by Jo Malone (currently on sale!). Both live on my bedside table this time of year and are on constant rotation.

Afternoon sun & and very happy pup

Pinterest board, currently–such a vibe! Clearly leaning into a green and white floral theme. I’m fairly convinced at this point I would live my best life inside of a greenhouse. I’ve had lots of embroidered details also pop up on my feed recently and I’m super into them…

A very me collaboration between Christian Siriano x Sherwin Williams… I could see myself using every color in this collection. Egret White is the must beautiful creamy/gray neutral, and I also love Silver Tipped Sage. The PR package also included the 34 candle by Diptyque and and I’m now obsessed. It’s such a lovely blend of moss and blackcurrent leaves–perfect scent for spring!

A favorite corner of my home… this chair moves around constantly because I’m just so in love with it. Rachel Donath just started offering free shipping to the US… just incase you need help justifying this purchase. It’s such a gorgeous piece!

Uniform as of late–wide leg silky trousers with a comfy tank. I’ve been prioritizing early bedtimes and reading in the evenings lately. While it’s easy to just sit in front of the tv for hours, I feel so much more recharged when I spend the evenings with a book. Currently reading Every Summer After.

I made homemade spring rolls for the first time for lunch last week–consider me hooked. I also think I discovered a little hack for this… I used the Peanut & Crispy Noodle salad mix from Trader Joes instead of buying everything separately and having to chop it up. I added baby spinach leaves, sliced cucumber, green onion and finished it with the peanut sauce provided in the salad kit and Trader Joe’s sweet chili sauce. So healthy and good!

We’ve been having some seriously gloomy weather in NYC, but I secretly love watching the storms roll in from across the Hudson this time of year. The green hues always look so vibrant against the gray water and sky.

Still very much in my toast era–this week’s variation was toasted sourdough with smashed avocado (everything but the bagel & lemon juice mixed in), poached egg, red pepper flakes, micro greens, feta cheese, pepitas and finished with flakey Maldon sea salt.

Checked off making a homemade vanilla & lavender latte from my to-do list over the weekend! The syrup was surprisingly simple to make and has me excited to test out some other homemade flavors. (link to the daisy glasses)
