I’m back with another monthly recap post to chat about what I added to my wardrobe this month! I have to admit–I almost impulse purchased a gorgeous dress at H&M yesterday… and having this list and writing this post keeps me accountable (but just incase a floral maxi is on your shopping list… this dress is stunning!) April was definitely my month of denim buys–here are the items that were on my list and what I ended up investing in for April!
On my list for this month:
– basic white tank | The Shopbop sale was perfectly timed–I grabbed this well-known re/done tank. It’s hyped up, but I actually do love it. I got my first a couple of years ago and it’s the perfect effortless summer tank to layer under anything or wear on its own.
– classic denim | This was on my shopping list for last month, but I didn’t end up finding a pair I loved. I ordered the Citizens of Humanity ‘Charlotte’ during the Shopbop sale and mostly really love them. The wash is perfection and the fit on the top half is great. I wish they were slightly wider at the bottom, but I’ve been reaching for them daily, so I’m calling them a win! They are a great pair if you’re over the super wide leg vibe and want something a little more tailored but still relaxed looking.
– black linen mini dress | Since I ended up grabbing a couple things that were on my May list this month, I’m pushing this to next month… and I can’t wait to order it! I found the perfect little mini–I’ll review when it comes in!
– activewear | I’m calling this one half complete for the month. I still need 2-3 more workout sets (I recently joined and gym and a flying through activewear!), but I did grab a couple of items I love. I spent an hour trying on multiple brands and styles of leggings the other day–the Alo 7/8 High-Waist Airlift Leggings were hands down the best. I also grabbed this tank on a whim, and it’s the perfect crop to provide coverage but not be too overpowering.
– denim shorts | This was on my list for May, but I went ahead and grabbed them during the sale. The AGolde Parkers are one of the most raved about styles, and I can see why! The waist, rise, and inseam are all perfect. Just long enough to make me feel my age, and just loose enough to give a very casual-cool vibe. For reference, I sized up in these (usually a 25, went with a 26 for an extra loose fit). I’m already thinking of adding this wash and the white to my wardrobe. Definitely a summer staple!
