While my wardrobe makes an obvious shift this time of year to warmer, cozier textures and darker and more moody hues, I like to make a slightly more subtle shift to my everyday beauty routine. During the spring and summer, I am all about a rosy cheek, glowing skin, and a pop of pink on the lips. I also survived on this mascara over the summer! But now that the temperatures have started to chill, it’s time for me to switch it up a bit.

For my fall and winter look, I let my eyes and lips do the talking. I’m not really into eyeshadow, so to achieve that darker, smoldering eye, I up my eyeliner game. I love using this eyeliner to create a thick, dramatic cat eye look. I finish off the look with a pop of classic red lipstick. This one by Chanel is perfect to add rich color and goes with almost everything!

Another thing that changes are my go-to nail polish colors. In the summer I tend to experiment with a wide range of brights, neons, and of course white, but once the leaves start turning I gravitate towards dark reds, purples and greys. My two favorite by Essie that are consistent on the rotation are ‘Power Clutch’ (it seriously looks good with everything) and ‘In the Lobby.’

Finally, no beauty routine is complete without a spritz of perfume. I’ve been using ‘Roses de Chloé’ for quite some time, but I like to switch up my signature scent to something more seasonally appropriate for the holidays. My favorite perfume for this time of year is Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt. The fragrance is warm and inviting, and a perfect reminder of being cozied up by the fireplace this time of year. If you’re looking for a new scent, I highly suggest this one!
