Best Buys of 2019

Though it feels like just yesterday I was writing this post for 2018 (you can the post here), I’m so excited to share my top purchases of 2019! These are either items that I personally feel were my best buys, or the most shopped items by you. There are so many things from my 2018 list that I still use and love, but I wanted to include on this list only things that were actually new to me this year. There’s a mix of home, beauty, fashion – most of which are still in stock! It also makes me excited to look back and see that some of my most used items were brands and items introduced to me through collaborations this year. Items I share are always ones I personally use and love on a daily basis, and it makes me proud to have partnered with these brands! Without further adieu, here are my ten best buys fo 2019!

Gallery Wall Frames

These are one of my most asked questions! The majority of frames in my house (both wood and black) are different sizes of the Made by Design frames at Target. They come with a mat, but look great without it also. I usually get the 16×20 size for my gallery walls. I highly recommend these for budget-friendly frames!

Levi’s 501 Skinny Denim

I get questions about these every time I wear or post them. They are just under $100 and one of my most worn pairs of denim. I’d say they run pretty true to size, but if you have a smaller waist, consider sizing down to accommodate that. I’m considering grabbing another wash of this style!

Opalhouse Poufs

Another top seller from this year! I loved seeing how you all styled these poufs in your own home. They’ve lived several places in my living room and bedroom throughout the course of the year, and I love the playful pop of texture and pattern they add. For around $100 for the pair, it was definitely one of my top buys this year.

Silk(y) Pajamas

I purchased a different version of these over the summer and loved them so much, I purchased the two other available colors. This style was just released for the season, and I already bought it! I love them SO much. I hang mine to dry to increase to get more life out of them, but they are great quality and keep me super cool in my sleep. I wear a size S for reference.

Tula Primer

Hands-down, my favorite beauty product right now. I’ve completely stopped wearing foundation since I’ve discovered this. It primes, moisturizes, and perfects your skin. It comes out white, and changes color to match your skin to provide light coverage and perfected skin. It’s magic! Use the code THEMATIMES for 20% off.

Adias Swift Sneakers

My favorite sneakers! Ryan talked me into buying a pair earlier this year (they’re his favorite in men’s too), and I purchased a second pair during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I don’t do a ton of heavy running, but these work for my short runs and workouts. They are the most comfortable sneaker, and easy to wash too! I size down half a size in these.

Hurom Juicer

I was introduced to this juicer during a collaboration this year, and I’ve since become obsessed. I used to love making celery juice in the morning, but stopped because my old juicer took too long to clean. This was is SO easy to clean and makes such smooth juice. You can even make nut milks and ice cream in it! I can’t wait to get our kitchen back so I can start using it regularly again. It’s an investment, but if you’re a juicer, it’s so worth it.

Boll & Branch Sheets

I wrote a full post about how great these sheets are last year (you can read it here), so I’ll keep this short and sweet. These sheets literally changed how I slept. We opted for the flannel during the winter, but I’m considering grabbing a lighter-weight style for spring & summer. They are so comfortable and I now understand the importance of investing in your bedding.

C by GE Lightbulbs

These have completely changed our home! We have these in three rooms of our home, and I eventually want to put them everywhere. These bulbs make it so you can control your lighting from your phone – you can adjust the brightness, cool/warm tone, and set schedules. I’m obsessed! You can even control them with your voice via Alexa products (see my next item!).

Echo Show

I’ve tried various Amazon/Alexa products and have never felt like I used them much. This, however, has a display screen and can do SO much. It shows your calendar, the weather, controls our security cameras, and even helps me cook. It’s like having someone by my side all day long. Definitely a top purchase!
