3 Ways to Bring A Retro-Vibe to Your Springtime Wardrobe

There’s no denying that I’m constantly drawn to anything retro-inspired, and once summertime hits, the influx of vintage looks in my wardrobe only multiplies. My Pinterest page suddenly becomes flooded with Slim Aarons’ images of luxurious vacations in far off places (yes, I even have a board titled “Getaways in the Sun“). Even if I’m not jetting off on a super-chic vacation myself, there are elements of getaway style that I love incorporating into my everyday look.

Follow these three rules of thumb below to see how you can add a playful pop of vintage into your springtime wardrobe!

Retro Shades

While the cat-eye is nothing new on the scene, this season, we’re seeing an updated & skinnier version for the sunny months ahead. The ultra-chic shape may take some getting used to on your face – try dropping them down further on the bridge of your nose for a more laid-back vibe.

Playful Prints

This is the print of the season – or at least that’s what I’m saying! Summertime screams for a playful print – whether that be the trusty sailor stripe or polka dots, try incorporating a classic print into one of your sundress purchases this season. I’m loving this little off-shoulder one by WAYF.

Hair Accessories

Whenever I picture a vacay look from the sixties, I immediately think of wearing sun hats by the beach and headscarves catching the breeze in the convertible. These are two of my favorite ways to instantly bring a boost of retro-vibes into a springtime look. Shop through below for some of my favorites of each!
