Spring Chic

There are always new styles emerging from designers’ collections and runways shows that I immediately become infatuated with and can’t wait to incorporate into my own ensemble. But, as trends can be fleeting from one season to the next, it’s sometimes optimal to test out the trend first before you break the bank on a designer investment piece. For giving these new styles a whirl, I always turn to Chicwish – a quality online boutique with all of the latest up and coming trends. The best part? Most of their pieces are under $100!

Two my favorite trends for spring are the return of the bell sleeve, and embroidered florals. Naturally, I selected this look from Chicwish to test out the trends, and it’s safe to say I’ll be incorporating them a lot more into my looks. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites of each trend in the shop bars below (most under $50) so that you can give this season’s most covetable looks a try without buyer’s remorse.

Bell Sleeves

Similar to the last several seasons, the bell sleeve trend is in. When wondering how big of a flare is too much, the answer this season is, there’s no such thing as too much drama. The more volume, the better. Whether it’s an oversized bell around your wrist, or the frills start all the way up by your shoulder, anything goes. To keep the look seamless and chic, pair with bottoms that are more form fitting and minimal the more flare you add up top.

Embroidered Florals

While donning florals for spring isn’t necessarily a groundbreaking concept, we are seeing the girly print emerging in a new light this season. While there’s still nothing wrong with a pastel floral ensemble, dark embroidered varieties are making a case for themselves this spring. Whether is be embroidered on the collar of a shirt or hemline of a mini, it brings an edgier option to this timeless trend.
