I have to admit – I didn’t believe the hype. For the last few weeks, Pinterest has been full of lavender cupcakes, mint leaf icecubes, rosemary pancakes, and the list of herbs + sweets combinations goes on. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but in my mind, if something was a dessert, every ingredient in it should be sweet. It all changed when I came across this recipe by Martha Stewart. Adding a hint of rosemary to these already mouth-watering butter cookies takes it to a whole new level. These cookies are simple enough to eat a handful at a time, and are the perfect compliment to a cup of warm tea on a dreary afternoon. I have no more doubts about adding herbs to desserts for extra flavor, and am looking forward to experimenting with more!
