Hi lovlies – I’ll be keeping today’s post short and sweet because I can’t bring myself to write about anything other than what is on the forefront of my mind today. While The M.A. Times is typically a place of fashion, beauty, and travel, I can’t ignore what’s actually going on today in Texas because of Hurricane Harvey. All of my thoughts and love go out to those in Houston and those with friends and family there. Today, I wanted to dedicate my post to sharing ways we can all help, no matter where we are, fight for this cause.
I’ve made donations myself and am continuing to look for ways I can help every day. It doesn’t have to be anything major, but even if my sharing these links it helps one person make a donation that helps someone in Houston, that’s all I can ask for. Thank you all – it’s been so encouraging to watch everyone come together in this difficult time and support one another. How You Can Help
American Red Cross and Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund // Helping those displaced by Hurricane Harvey recover and providing them with emergency supplies. You can submit an easy $10 donation to American Red Cross by texting HARVEY to 90999.
Texas Diaper Bank // Accepting both diaper donations and cash to provide emergency diaper kits to the families that are being displaces due to Hurricane Harvey.
Austin Pets Alive! // Providing relief to shelters effected by Harvey and moving animals to other locations. Needs cat litter, martingale collars, tarps, dog treats/toys.
Dallas Dog RRR // Welcoming displaced animals and providing medical care as well as food, supplies, and funding.
