Festival Chic

If you’ve been following for a while, you may know that I’m a firm believer in incorporating feminine classics and sophisticated yet unexpected elements into every look. My personal style philosophy has always been: “Style is about being brave, taking risks, and making fashion choices that are confident, yet playful. A look should be effortlessly polished, with the perfect balance of modern and classic, and be intriguing, yet simple. Style is continuously evolving, but a look should never fail to be bold, ultra-femme, sophisticated and elevated, yet not over-done.”

With festival season right around the corner, it’s been a good reminder that a look doesn’t need to be tailored and structured in order to be chic. I’ve been so into crisp and clean cut looks lately, but when I slipped into this boho, drop waist dress from Anthropologie and styled it with a skinny black belt and a slouchy leather bag, I realized that even the most bohemian and 70’s inspired looks can fit my style philosophy.

I’ve got some more really exciting looks coming your way for festival season next week, so stay tuned! It will be all about how to stay true to your personal style, and at the same time, add in festival chic elements that can easily be incorporated into your everyday wear! I’ll be exploring taking dresses and pieces that I love for their feminine flair, and then showing you how to accessorize it up so that whether you are attending a festival this season or not, you can always look the part, yet still feel like yourself!
