Happy Thursday! It’s so hard to believe it’s already almost Friday again. Though I’m looking forward to it being the weekend – seriously where does time go? It seems like the days are getting shorter and shorter! If anyone finds a way to make the days a little longer, please send your tips my way! I barely make it through the last thing on my to-do list before it’s time to rest up for another day ahead.

With that said, my everyday style has definitely been struggling a little bit lately. Waking up in the morning knowing I have a busy day ahead (while still a little tired eyed from the day before), I’ve been reaching for the easiest, most comfortable pieces in my closet. As much as I love getting all dolled up from time to time, on your average Thursday morning when my never-ending list of things to do is ahead of me, sometimes I just want to slip into a breezy sundress and call it a day.

Enter: the look above. Some variation of this look has seriously been on repeat all week. It’s a simple four step look that looks like I put together a semi-chic ensemble, but it actually took me no time at all. Here’s my recipe for those mornings I don’t have the time to put together an incredibly glamorous look:

  • Start with a comfortable base // Choose a comfortable sundress or tee dress that is a neutral color and goes well with most things in your closet. I like to stick to navy, white, black and grey. The more flowy and comfortable this item is, the better.
  • Next, add a layering piece // My go-to’s in this category are my denim jacket, my leather jacket, or an oversized lightweight sweater. Adding layers always helps a look feel more polished.
  • Add kicks // The best thing on a busy day is to make sure your feet stay nice and comfortable. My favorites are these Tretorn sneakers I’m wearing here (they make me feel extra Parisian-chic), or my trusty Converse sneakers.
  • Top it off // On your way out of the house, grab just one accessory to make the look complete. Whether it be a statement necklace, a pair of earrings, scarf, or hat, that little something extra will make you feel like you actually took the time to get ready for the day.

Needless to say, this is the guide I’ll be following for the remainder of the week. Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week, and come back tomorrow for a special Mother’s Day gift guide post!
