Just because summer is long gone doesn’t mean you have to make due without your favorite floral pieces until next spring. Botanical prints are personally one of my favorite! I love the texture a floral element can immediately bring to a look. Plus, you can’t get much more feminine than a dress covered in blooms, am I right?

With Thanksgiving next week and the holidays right around the corner, festive looks and party dresses are on everyone’s mind. It’s the perfect time to reach for some of those favorite floral looks in your closet and re-wear them this season. If styled correctly, a floral print is one that you can pull of year round. They no longer need to be packed away with your other sundresses!

Starting with the dress itself, choose a higher-coverage silhouette. Opt for midis and maxis, or if it’s a mini, pick one with longer sleeves or a higher neckline. It may seem obvious, but this will immediately make your look more seasonly appropriate. If you have a floral tank dress you’re dying to wear, try layering a button down underneath, or cozying up with a faux fur piece on top. The next step to winterizing your florals is to pick the right accessories! Go for darker tones – think blacks, browns, or even burgundies to make the look feel less summery.

Take a look through some of my favorite fall and winter florals I’ve rounded up in the shop bar below! I can see them all being perfect for any holiday every on my calendar this year.
