Yes, yes, I know… this post is supposed to go up the first of every month. I sat to write it yesterday and – I was having a day. Nothing was particularly wrong, but I wasn’t in the best headspace. Every glass was half empty yesterday and I was having a difficult seeing the positive in anything. June is my birthday month, and therefore my personal favorite, and there was no way I was putting those negative thoughts into writing and giving them validation on the first day of the best month.
Last month, we ended up having to forego our fun getaway to Miami (we both got sick the week prior), and it left us craving adventure and some time out of the city. Now that we are both recovered, we’re in full getaway planning mode (I literally asked Ryan if we could go to Italy this weekend 🤣) and are also making preparations for my birthday! We’ve had a picnic for my birthday for as long as we have been together, and this year we are sharing the celebrations with some of our closest friends in the city. I can’t wait!
Other things on my mind/docket this month… looking for ways to expand, in every form of the word. I’m finally at a place where I’m admitting I need help with some parts of my business, and am exploring avenues for that. I’m also ready to expand what my business has to offer. Social media is constantly changing, and it has me craving creating a stream of revenue which I own and am in full control of decisions. I’m still playing around with lots of ideas, but don’t be surprised if y’all get something you’ve been asking for very soon! Another idea I’ve been tossing around is going back for some form of education. Not full time, but lately I’ve really honed in on a few interests and have been wanting more formal education in those areas. I haven’t been in school in over a decade.. the thought is a little daunting, but trying new things is always good.
Phew, writing that all out makes me realize it’s going to be a busy month.. but I want to go into 33 feeling like the best version of myself possible. Each of these little growths and expansions will someday (hopefully) lead to my dream life and that makes them worth the hard work.
