Shifting from winter to spring —

After an uncharacteristically warm day last week (never a good thing in February, but here we are)—I felt my mood instantly elevate, like I was seeing the world with a new pair of eyes. The winter gloom seemed like it was melting away, and it was easier to see beauty in little things again. Sunshine and 60 degree weather just does wonderful things for my soul. I try to appreciate each season for what it is… but there are undeniable shifts that come with the changing of seasons. Each one’s beauty should be celebrated as much as the next, so here’s what I’m looking forward to during the transition to spring (only 22 more days, but who’s counting?)…

shop

/ Sezané sweater

Warm epsom salt baths with a good read

Homemade hot cinnamon lattes

5pm lamp & candle o’clock… jazz tunes and cashmere lounge sets on, shades pulled, in for the night

JOMO… the joy of missing out. Hibernation season is at a peak and there’s no need to feel guilty about it

Evenings experimenting with new soup recipes

Matching sweat sets (v ready to retire these and feel inspired by my wardrobe again)

Afternoon walks with a good playlist to get some Vitamin D

Iced lattes—excited to find my homemade varieties that I love (pistachio flavored, perhaps?)

Basil and herb scented candles

Open windows, cool breezes… the joy of turning off the radiator!

Spontaneous weekday happy hour plans for rosé outside on sunny days

Colorful salads with fresh produce from the farmer’s market

Crisp linen pieces, perfectly fitting denim, quality leather flats & breezy dresses making their first appearances

Winter--savoring the last of these!

In for Spring--

warmly,

Marianne
