Hi, hi and happy Friday! I’m so ready for the weekend–it’s been a busy one! Lots of ideas are flowing over here and I’m finding I need to learn to balance allowing myself time to explore those new ideas while still checking off my to-do’s. My body has been feeling the stress lately, so I gave myself permission to sleep in (we can consider 8am sleeping in, right?) and work from bed with my coffee for a couple of hours this morning.
It occurred to me we are already more than halfway through April… no idea how… but I had completely forgotten about my bucket list items for this month and decided to do a quick little check in!
take a flower arranging class
give my bedding a spring refresh
host a springtime brunch for girlfriends
try a new type of workout
experiment with homemade iced coffee flavors
plan out my entryway refresh
venture out on a solo day trip
bake something sweet
refresh areas of my home that feel stale
walk through central park with a good podcast to see the trees blooming
While I’m not doing that bad, I still want to try to make time for a few more of these things, even if it’s on a smaller scale than I had originally planned. I know how excited I am at the end of each month when I look back and realize the time I carved out do to things that feed my soul. Take this as your gentle reminder to revisit the things you told yourself you’d do this month and motivate yourself to keep going!
I’m thinking I will check off baking something sweet and experimenting with iced coffees this weekend–I’ve been loving being in the kitchen lately. I’ve been wanting to make something with Meyer lemons, so I’m thinking of making this olive oil cake to nibble on over the weekend. This iced lavender vanilla latte is also calling my name–I had one on a trip to Charleston a few of years ago and I remember being obsessed!

One of my favorite home shops is doing the cutest promo for earth day–buy a planter and receive a free seed packet to go with it! They sell my faves (Campo de Fiori) and several other cute pots… such a fun idea.
