It truly is the shopping event of the season….
If you’ve been a long time follower, you know I rarely promote sales, unless they are ones I’m actually shopping myself. However, this is one sale I like even more than Black Friday. If you’re new to shopping what’s become known as the#NSale, allow me to break it down for you a little.
What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a yearly event that occurs in July when Nordstrom releases a large selection of their new fall product at on sale prices. Yes, brand new product is marked down! After the sale is over, the prices go back up to their regular retail price. Several brands like Rebecca Minkoff, Tory Burch, J.Crew, Madewell, Free People, and Zella all share their new collection heavily marked down.
What are the dates to remember?
This year, early access to the sale begins Friday, July 12th at 12:30pm EST. If you are an “Icon” or “Ambassador” level member, you have access to the sale beginning July 11th at 12:30pm EST (and in stores as early as today).
If you are shopping public access, the sale begins a week later on Friday, July 19th. Prices will go back up to normal on August 5, 2019.
How do I gain early access?
Nordstrom card holders or “Nordy Club” members are allowed to shop the sale before the general public. Don’t worry, it’s not as exclusive at you think. Anyone can sign up.. it’s not too late! You can sign up here and read all about it. There are tons of benefits just by signing up to be a Nordy Club member!
How should I prepare?
To be honest, the sale can be very overwhelming and cause you to buy things you maybe don’t need. There’s a rush when items start selling out, so you go sweater crazy and end up with way too many. I suggest putting together a list of items you’re on the hunt for the for fall and winter. Do you need new black boots or a heavy coat? I always go in with an idea in mind so that I don’t spend hours combing through everything just to realize my size has sold out in everything I want.

Tips & Things to remember
Early access is key! Things will sell out and nine times out of ten won’t be restocked.
If you aren’t sure on sizes, order both. Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns.
If there are things you know you want, place that order first. Then, spend time browsing and place a second order.
How will I be covering the sale?
I’ll be shopping the sale as soon as it goes live at 12:30pm EST on Friday. However, I have already browsed through the sale items and have a page ready to hit publish on Friday morning with my absolute favorites. I won’t be sharing every. single. thing. that is on sale… just the products I’d actually spend my own money on. This will include a lot of staple items (boots, coats, denim, basic sweaters) and a few home decor items.
