Everyday Beauty

Since working from home/barely leaving my house over the last year, my everyday makeup routine has dwindled down to a bare minimum. I’ve started focusing more on beauty from within (ie. my skincare routine — updates to come on that soon), so that I have to apply less to achieve the glowing look I desire. I’ve also been making the transition to mostly clean beauty products, and finding ones that work for me.

Right now, my everyday routine consists of a skin tint with SPF, clear brow gel, a subtle lip color, mascara, and a little bronzer and highlight on my cheekbones. Here are my current favorite products I’s using for each.

face

I recently started using Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint (shade ST3) for coverage. First and foremost, I love that it has SPF40, as well as hyaluronic acid and squalane. Both are staples in my pm skincare routine. The product provides just enough coverage — think tinted moisturizer — and the coverage lasts all day.

For contouring/bronzer, I use small amounts of Milk’s Matte Cream Bronzer (in shade ‘Baked’). I’m a big fan of cream products – I love how they blend together and look more natural on my skin. I use this to slightly contour my cheekbones, and place a small dab on the apples of my cheeks for an additional flush of color when I’m not wearing blush.

eyes

Ever since tinting and laminating my brows a few weeks ago, I’ve found them to be way easier to maintain. I actually enjoy doing them now! All I use most days is Almay’s Brow Styler in clear.

I finally tried out Ilia’s Limitless Lash Lengthening Mascara, and it lives up to the hype. It definitely lengthens my lashes, but still looks whispy and not at all heavy. I prefer it to any other I have tried recently. It also contains keratin, B=beeswax, and shea butter — all help to condition your lashes throughout the day.

lips

I’m not a big lips person — most days I rotate between Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask to keep my lips hydrated or Ilia’s Color Block High Impact Lipstick in Rosette if I want a subtle pop of color. I like to just dab it on and tap it in with my fingers for a more natural look.
