I’m a bit behind this month but with good reason–I have news… I’ve officially signed on a place to live!
The last couple of months have been a serious journey of emotions, but through it all, I tried to stay centered and listen to my gut. My gut kept coming back to one thing, or place, I should say…

Charleston.
Whether it’s because I have unfinished business there or it’s simply my favorite place, I’m not sure–but I do know it’s where feels right.
Throughout my search, I trusted that the right house would pop up if it were meant to be. Weeks passed, and the “right” house still hadn’t shown. Me (being me) had an arm’s length list of what I was looking for… marble counters, a window over the sink, a grassy backyard, a fireplace–the list went on.
And then this little 1950’s home popped up in my absolute favorite neighborhood–with absolutely none of what I was looking for.
The moment I walked in the front door, however, I had an overwhelming feeling that it was exactly the right one.
Amongst its old tile countertops, quirky layout, and barely 1000 sq. ft., I could feel the house had the most incredible soul. Just steps from the ocean and my favorite sunset view, something about it pulled me in.
I say all of this because sometimes I think we get so caught up in looking for what we think we want, that we can almost miss something even better. I’ve been handed so much of what I’ve asked for in recent weeks… just in completely different ways. It’s been a lesson in trusting in the bigger plans, loosening my grip, and just enjoying the journey.
I am so excited to show you all my new home in a couple of weeks. It’s nothing like my current house and I’m going to have my hands full with projects, but I hope you’ll stick around for the fun!
xx Marianne

A few quick things on my radar this month—
I shared on stories but have to re-share here—I ordered a few items from Brooke & Lou’s spring collection and I’m obsessed! This tray is exactly what I’ve been wanting to put on my nightstand. These coupes are so detailed and beautiful and these plates are also on their way to me. I can’t wait to put together a brunch spread with everything and visit their Charleston shop once I move back!
Some new Oak Essentials goodies to share: I recently started incorporating their Daily Vitamin C Serum into my routine—it paired with the Nightly Retinol is the perfect duo! I saw they are currently offering a free full-size Awaken Body Wash with every $100+ purchase, just fyi!
Some style hyper-fixations for spring… sequins, lace, sheer fabrics, and beaded anything! Rounding up any favorites I find on ShopMy.
Counting down the days until I’m reunited with my favorite Charleston garden centers! My new yard is completely different from this one, so I’m excited to do some outside the box landscaping.
I found these votives at a local Charleston shop and have been using them non-stop as both candle holders and bud vases… love!
Lastly for this month—I can’t stop talking about this skirt! The color, fabric, lace—all so dreamy! Thinking it’ll be the first thing I wear for a night out in the new neighborhood… can you tell I’m excited??
