While there are many trends making comebacks this season, there is one in particular that stands out as a clear front runner for me: broderie. I love the delicate crochet sleeves on this dress, and the dainty feminine detail it adds to any piece. Fashion icon, Brigitte Bardot, embraced the trend years ago, and it’s seen all over the collections this season.
It is so perfect for summertime (especially when paired with a white sundress) – it is soft and innocent, but the specks of skin peeping through give the look just a hint of risqué. I wore this look in Yosemite (no, it wasn’t what I went hiking or ran from a bear in), but it did make me feel just like a modern day Pocahontas, embracing being a free-spirt out in the middle of nature.
