I’ve never been a huge advocate of Valentine’s Day in previous years, but the excitement of being newly engaged and in the midst of planning a wedding suddenly has me turning into the biggest romantic. Bring on the chocolate, roses, and heart-shaped candy! Life has been moving at light speed lately, and though I believe a relationship is about doing small gestures to show your love for one another all throughout the year, I can’t help but want to get dressed up and celebrate our love for one another in a traditional way as an engaged couple.
That said, it raises some major questions! What to wear, and what to gift! Though it’s never about the price tag of the item, it’s always fun to wrap something up and see the smile on your significant other’s face when they open it up. Sometimes just a little token of love to share show them how much you care, or how well you know them, is all it takes. I hope everyone had a great weekend! If you followed along on Instagram stories, you may have seen we spent a relaxing weekend up in the cabin in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. It was the best – we sat by the fire, kept binge watching Homeland, and had some much needed time to “disconnect” and enjoy each other’s company.
On another note, who watches The Bachelor?? It’s definitely my guilty pleasure – I just can’t not watch it! I couldn’t believe all the drama last night. What did you guys think? Who’s your favorite?
