The end of August and summer is always a nostalgic time for me. It reminds me of being young, long hot days coming to a close, shopping for school supplies, and getting ready for a new year. It was a time of new beginnings, setting new goals, and gearing back up and getting in routines after a blissful summer off.
As I’ve grown older, I wish I could say that summer has remained all about vacations and lazy days by the pool, but unfortunately those days now come few and far between. Nevertheless, this time of year still encourages me to reevaluate my progress so far, and set the tone for the back end of the year – which holds some of my favorite times, traditions, and holidays!
With all of these changes upon us, we are reminded that it’s time to start reworking our wardrobes! It’s that time of year we are ready for a fresh start, and want to pull on those cozy sweaters. Until the temperatures start to cool, it’s important for us to have those pieces that can seamlessly transition from a breezy summer look to a chic fall ensemble.
This tunic is one of my favorite finds for that! It is perfect worn out with shorts and loafers in the summer, and I’m already picturing all of the possibilities it holds for fall! I’m excited to pair it with leggings and boots, as well as some dark wash flares and platforms to embrace a 70’s feel. It’s definitely one of those staple pieces I’ll be reaching for in the coming months – shop this look and how I would style it for fall in the gallery below!
