In a recent article by Who What Wear, trend-forecaster, Yasmin Sewell, predicted what she thought the next big things in fashion will be. We’ve all seen the 70’s trend and off the shoulder looks hit hard this summer, but what’s up next for fall? According to the article, we can expect to be seeing much more rich and intricate pieces coming from designers.

Silhouettes will become more structured, hues more rich, and fabrics more embroidered and embellished. While the pieces themselves will become much more of detailed, the lines will be clean and the shapes will be exaggerated and modern. The extra embellishment will make looks this fall more playful and fun, and give our wardrobes that pop of the unexpected that every good fashionista loves!

The rich hues and the bold colors in the print of this skirt was what caught my eye. The pebbled texture and dramatic a-line flare of the skirt are both things it sounds like we will be seeing more of in the upcoming season. While I love a good pastel floral print as much as the next girly girl, I’m excited to start wearing deeper jewel tones, along with more elaborate and textured peices.

Shop the scroll bar below, or head over to my new shop page to look at some of the things I’m currently coveting for the upcoming season. I’ll be updating it regularly, so be sure to check back in from time to time! Also, be sure to follow along on Instagram, as my posts are now shoppable via LIKEtoKnow.it!
