We’ve seen it all over the runways and all throughout every fashion magazine – the seventies are officially back this season. From wide-leg flares, to suede, and broderie detailing, there’s no denying that the free-spirit age has returned with a bang.
Though I love a pair of stilettos just as much as the next girl, I have never felt more at home than when I am embracing my inner hippie-child. It’s amazing how throwing on a pair of loose fitting, flared shorts and my favorite pair of wedges can instantly bring me back to a different era. All I’m missing is a braid my hair and a flower tucked behind my ear.
I’m just starting to scratch the surface with the trends of the season, but I’m sure there will be many more looks to come that resemble the hippie days. I’m definitely seeing some fringe, wide-leg flares, and big-eyed sunnies in my future this summer.
