Summer Separates

Living in the south, it usually begins to feel like summer much earlier than the official start to the season in June. This year however, we were actually graced with a true spring where temperatures stayed cooler and the humidity held off (for the most part) until just this past weekend. It’s now mid-nineties here, and with a trip coming up to somewhere even hotter at the beginning of next month, I’m looking for outfits that’s primary function is to help keep me cool!

I have a tendency during the summer to take the easy way out and just throw on any sundress and run out the door. They’re cute, simple, and do a pretty good job of keeping me from sweating by mid-day. This summer, I’m attempting to break out of my “summer sundress rut” and wear separates that are functional and chic at the same time.

Enter: this darling lace tank from Anthropologie. The breeze was practically blowing right through me in it! For work wear, this tank looks just as cute with a cami underneath it. I love it paired with these super lightweight joggers – the material and pale coloring combined helped keep me nice and cool. I’m definitely adding more pieces like these to my shopping list for my wardrobe this summer!
