Pumpkin Spice White Russian

Pumpkin spice lovers all around the world may want to punch me for saying this, but I’ve never been a huge fan. I’ve never had the urge to rush to Starbucks to get the latte the day it comes out (and truthfully I have never even tried it). I love the idea of baking pumpkin pie, but I think I only like the taste because it is so nostalgic to me. As part of an effort to fit into the pumpkin spice craze, I gave this recipe by A Beautiful Mess a try, and was pretty impressed. The pumpkin spice coffee might not do it for me, but mix the flavoring in with a white russian, and that is something I can get behind.

Recipe (serves 1): Mix together the following, pour over 1/2 glassful of ice

2 ounces vodka

1.5 ounces Baileys Irish Cream (original)

1 ounce pumpkin spice syrup* (1/2 c brown sugar, 1/2 c water, and 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice completely combined and dissolved over low heat. Allow to cool).

1 ounce half and half

agave or honey

cinnamon stick/sprinkles for garnish (optional)
