As a continued part of my effort to pay closer attention to what I’m actually consuming, I pulled back out my smoothie blender, and decided to give them another try. I’ve always been a big fan of pineapple – and when I saw a mountain of them at the store calling my name the other day, I couldn’t resist giving this recipe a try. It’s super easy, and uses ingredients I already had in my kitchen. It’s the perfect breakfast to prep the night before, and have in my refrigerator for mornings when I’m in a hurry. Here’s the recipe I used, but feel free to add more or less of certain ingredients based on your taste preferences.
1/2 c crushed ice
1/2 c vanilla non-fat yogurt
1/2 c skim milk
1 c frozen pineapple chucks
Combine together in blender and pulse until you have reached your desired consistency.
