While there are some seasonal color traditions I have no qualms about breaking (I’ll always wear white after labor day), I’ve always felt funny about carrying over my lighter hues into the fall and winter seasons. Darker shades of burgundy and green, blacks and grays have always felt more fitting for the colder months, especially around the holidays. I’ve had it engrained in my mind that the thicker the fabric and colder the temperatures, the darker the hue. Heavier textures require deeper shades, right?
Wrong! Thanks to a recent collection released by Pixie Market, I’ve realized that there is a chic and seasonally appropriate way to carry my favorite shades of spring into winter. This pink sweater dress couldn’t be more perfect for doing so. Its chunky cable knit material, layered over a blouse, and paired with some over the knee boots was more than enough to keep me warm on a crisp fall day. Top it off with a wool coat – I couldn’t feel more prepared for the winter!
In addition to this sweater dress, I’m also loving these pale pink leather culottes for upcoming holiday parties, this super feminine pleated maxi dress, this gray and pink sweater and full skirt combo, and this perfectly sweet ruffle and bow blouse. With the help of Pixie Market, I’ve realized that I no longer have to stash my pastel shades in the back of my closet until spring comes back around. The lightness of the pastel color palate is so crisp and fresh, just like the chilling winter air heading our way.
I’m definitely looking forward to incorporating more of these shades into my wardrobe for the upcoming months – I’m completely rethinking my holiday attire! I’ve selected a few of my favorite pieces and included them in the scroll bar below, but be sure to head over to Pixie Market to see what else they have in store!
