Pants in Full Bloom

floralprintedpantsOne trend I have been majorly loving this season is floral printed pants. I haven’t quite taken the plunge yet, but they are definitely top on my list for this spring. With so many different styles, fabrics, and price ranges, there are a lot of options to sort through before selecting my winning pair. Here are my top eight picks I’m currently debating between.

1. This pair by Trina Turk is definitely on the pricier side for a such a trendy piece. The tuxedo stripe, however, makes them stand out from the others, and gives it a fun, athletic flair. ($278)

2. These are a little more non-traditional floral than the other pairs, but I love the simple single colored pattern with a vintage feel. They have angled pockets and pleats in just the right places – I could easily see myself slipping them on with a pair of nude wedges and a tied up chambray shirt. ($99)

3. These light crepe pants by B.B. Dakota are high on my list. I love the white background with pastel colored florals. Although they are long pants, the material and pale colors will help these pants easily transition into summer. ($70)

4. If it wasn’t for the price tag, these pants by Joie would probably already be living in my closet. They are the perfect balance of dressy and fun, with a  flattering shape, and just enough pops of color. ($180)

5. This pair from Forever 21 is the most inexpensive on the list and the most different as well. The wide leg combined with the floral print sends off a somewhat hippie vibe, but if you saw my post here, you understand why these appeal to me. ($15)

6. This pair from J.Crew is one of the top on my list – partly because it stares at me every day while I’m at work, but mostly because I love the pale pink and citron accent colors with the navy background. This print provides so many coordinating color options for the top. ($90)

7. With the highest price point on this list, these top the list as the most practical and versatile. The floral pattern is subtle and abstract enough that it elevates these pants for a dressy night out, and can make them wear-to-work appropriate. ($308)

8. These pants from H&M have the most concentrated print, but combined with the looser fitting silhouette, the print works and they almost look polka-dotted. They have a lower price point and the elastic waistband makes them comfy as can be. ($18)
