I’ll admit it, I’ve been slower than most to fully embrace the fringe trend. While it was definitely something I loved and was excited about this season, I haven’t been quite ready to throw on a suede fringe vest or skirt. I’m definitely into the 70’s boho feel of it all, but living in the south, it’s easy for things to cross that chic line and become cowboy-western in no time.
My biggest worry about fringe was looking like I just stepped out of a western film, and therefore I put of trying out the trend for far too long. Finally, I found this dress at ASOS, with just a minor detailing of fringe, and it was my perfect starter piece to convince me the trend wasn’t oh-so scary. I’m now convinced that fringe can be super feminine and chic when paired with the right accessories.
That’s one of the best things about fashion blogging – I’m constantly pushing myself to stretch just a little bit further outside of my comfort zone. It turns out, most of the time when I try new things, I end up loving it and feeling excited that I branched out and broadened my horizons a bit – even if it is just with a little fringe hem!
