Happy Saturday everyone! With two days of fashion week down, and a third very exciting one already well underway, I’ve been bursting at the seams to share my favorite looks and trends from the runways so far!

Fashion week started off strong with an amazing show by BCBGMAXAZRIA at Skylight at Moynihan Station. Patchwork, knits, and patterns on patterns paraded down the runway, each look paired perfectly with a coordinating bucket hat. Pieces were oversized and flowy, giving a nod to youthful surf and skater spirits around the globe for their Spring 2016 collection. Knit leg warmers met fringe covered moccasins, perfectly encompassing a California cool girl in one seamless look.

Next on the lineup of my favorites: Tadashi Shoji. Every piece that came down the runway was more elegant and beautiful than the one before. His collection was full of purples, greens, tulle, and delicate floral detailing. Each dress had a magical movement to it – it was truly breathtaking! My top two picks from his show are a plunge neck gown in the most gorgeous deep purple, and a white and green dress near the end of the show. Click here to watch the show and see for yourself – it gives me chills!

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Marissa Webb’s show blew it out of the water! There isn’t a single piece from her Spring 2016 collection that I don’t want to get my hands on! From her lace and bow-tied dresses, to pale pink pantsuits and army green jackets, the whole thing was absolute perfection! I know fashion week just started, but it’s possible the Marissa Webb show may be my favorite of the season!

Coming in at a close tie for first was the always-amazing Zimmermann Master and Mischief Collection. Each ruffled top and flouncy skirt was perfectly detailed and curated to be soft and feminine. I’m dying over the high-neck sheer blouses and ruffle-sleeved dresses that dominated the show. Each piece was so stunning and unique – the swivel of the skirts was flirty and fun, but the high neck tops with lace detailing had a vintage feel. It was the perfect balance of playful yet ultra-femme.

I can’t believe we are only a couple of days into NYFW! I’m waiting (not-so) patiently in anticipation to see what else is to come!
