Who watched the Golden Globes last night? Was the fashion not absolutely out of this world?? I have several obsessions. Alicia Vikander looked AMAZING in her white Louis Vuitton gown, and Olivia Palermo’s sweet red and pink high-low dress was perfection! And how about Jennifer Lawrence in that red Dior cut out gown? Amazing!!
Every single person walking down the red carpet last night looked so polished and stunning. Ryan used to always tease me for being notoriously underdressed for every occasion – but the more I’ve come out of my shell and enjoyed taking fashion risks, the more I’ve loved incorporating a little glitz and glam into my every day looks. I’ve also found myself dying for excuses to get all dressed up recently (confession: I almost got glammed up just to sit at home and watch the Golden Globes!).
That said, one trend I’m loving is velvet. It’s so subtly luxurious and glamorous, without being overdone or in-your-face. This high neck swing dress is the perfect combination of dressed up yet flirty, and was perfect for a day at the museum. Paired with a playful pink faux fur cropped jacket and suede over the knee boots, I felt right out of the seventies. A perfect combination of hippie meets super glam!
