I’ve always had a pretty strong love/hate relationship with lipstick. I love it once I find the perfect shade, but I have the hardest time shopping for it. I hate sampling it in stores, and usually am pretty hesitant to ask for help. The choices are overwhelming, and I typically end up getting home with a shade that looks terrible once its on my lips. In order to help narrow down the selection, and have a better chance of coming home with a lipstick you might actually wear, I did some research, and put together a simple flow chart of how to choose the best shade for you.
Start with your skin tone: fair, medium, olive, or dark. Then, determine whether you have a cool skin tone or warm. This is determined by looking at the veins inside of your wrist. If they appear blue, you are cool. If they have a greenish tint, you are warm.
