If you’ve taken a look inside my closet (or take a peek back at my last several fashion posts), you may notice that my wardrobe consists primarily of black, grey, and white. It’s a problem – I naturally gravitate towards these colors (or lack of colors), and forget about every other shade out there. I saw this top online a couple weeks ago, and was in love. I initially saw it in white with a black color, but then much to my surprise, this lavender option caught my eye.
I decided to stretch myself out of my comfort zone and go for this lovely feminine shade. It’s safe to say I’m obsessed. I’ve since bought a purse, candle, and flowers in this same shade. I had convinced myself all along that I didn’t like the color purple, but I was wrong!
I love this shade for a Valentine’s Day look. It’s a little more non-traditional than pink or red, but still has the same hint of sweetness and playfulness. This top has opened up a whole new door for me, and I’m looking forward to incorporating more pastels and light colors into my wardrobe this spring.
