With just a couple of weeks to go until Christmas, it’s safe to say we’re in the full holiday spirit over here. As many of you may know, Ryan & I got married on November 30th and then headed off for a two week honeymoon, so we decided to get our celebrating on a little bit early. The weekend before we left for our wedding, we decided to set up our Christmas decorations and make a day-date out of it.
Special occasions like the holidays call for special wine, so it was the perfect day to open a bottle of our favorite Louis Jadot wine. We opted for the Beaujolais Villages which has become a personal favorite of ours over the last year. Ryan and I are all about celebrating everyday moments and having a special wine that we pull out for our everyday celebrations makes the moment feel even more special and monumental.
We put on on the Christmas tunes, Ryan (of course) threw on his most festive sweater, and we poured ourselves a glass as we hung our ornaments on the tree and put up our twinkle lights. Since we won’t be home much this Christmas, it was a nice way to kick off the holiday season and make it feel extra special. At the end of the evening we cozied up by the twinkling tree with our bottle of wine and watched one of our favorite Christmas movies.
