Free The Shoulder

If there’s one new piece that’s a must-add to your wardrobe for the summer, it’s an off-shoulder top (bonus points if it has some frills!) I love the 1970’s retro spirit of a bright flouncy off-shoulder top. Its free-spirted attitude juxtaposed with the romance of showing a little skin, makes it the perfect staple for a day by the seaside or a stroll down the city streets.

Since Dior popularized strapless gowns in the 1930’s, shoulders have since been one of women’s features which they are most confident showing off. There’s no better way to embrace that confidence than with a sweet off-shoulder top in a bold color or a playful pattern. Balance it out with an a-line short or some 70’s inspired flares and you’re good to go.

This new trend is a sleek and sophisticated way to show a little skin and feel that summer sun.
