Five Minute DIY Valentine’s Day Notes

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always believed in making homemade cards. Sometimes they are more elaborate than others, depending on my time available, but it’s always the nice thought of something homemade that counts. This year, as I’ve previously  mentioned, I’ve been finding myself on a bit of a cramped schedule. However, I don’t want to lose sight of my card tradition. My valentines this year took only five minutes to make, but are pretty cute and will hopefully make some people feel loved on Valentine’s Day. You can find most of the following supplies either at Target or your local craft store – I can’t believe this was my first time I’ve ever used washi tape – it’s awesome.

To create your cards in mere minutes, select festive card stock, both plain and patterned. Cut the patterned card stock into note size pieces, then cut the plain card stock into small rectangles that will fit on the patterned card stock. Using washi tape, creatively tape the solid paper to the patterned. Add a fun sticker, write a sweet note on the back, and you’re good to go!
