I can’t believe August is already here! It seems like it was New Year’s yesterday! Though we’re still facing some of the hottest temps of the year here in North Carolina, I’m already starting to round up some pieces for fall. I’m getting lots of my basics first – denim, blouses, and boots are always my top picks. This pair of denim from Anthropologie is a must have for this season.

The second I put them on I was in love – they are buttery soft, a perfect fit, and didn’t stretch out one bit! I love that they have a bit of a distressed feel to them, but don’t have any holes or rips, like normal distressed denim. The raw hemline makes this pair of denim something more unique than your existing denim, and looks great when paired with a more feminine top, like this lace inset blouse.

They’re great for this time of year paired with my favorite mules, but will easily transition into fall when paired with a pair of suede ankle booties or pointed toe flats. This was one of my favorite looks I wore the whole time in Charleston – it was so casual and simple, but I felt incredibly confident wandering the streets in the most flattering pair of denim and a super femme blouse.
