If you were to take a peek into my wardrobe, you would notice one thing right off the bat. About 95% of my closet is either white, gray, black, or navy. I have a select handful of colored pieces that I’m comfortable in, and they’re probably the least worn items in my closet. If something comes in white or black, you can guarantee that’s what I’ll buy it in.
During NYFW, it’s always the perfect opportunity to step out of your comfort zone when it comes to dressing, and that’s exactly what I did. I fell in love with this darling two-piece Storets set the moment I saw it. It wasn’t anything I would usually wear, but with fashion month approaching, it was the perfect time to wear something a little more bold. So in my cart and into my suitcase it went.
I couldn’t help but notice a shift in my attitude as I walked around the city the day I wore this look. There was something about knowing I was standing out in a crowd with my bold fashion choice that made me walk that much taller and more confidently. I now have a completely new appreciation for incorporating pops of color into my wardrobe – starting with this statement red hue for fall.
