If you follow along on Instagram or Snapchat (MAVERRILLI), you may have noticed I spent the day celebrating my birthday yesterday! Ryan and I kept it quiet with our annual picnic at sunset yesterday, and made the most out of the summer solstice. It was so nice to take the evening to relax and not do too much of anything – except indulge in bread and cheese!
Now that it’s officially summer, one of my go-to looks for this season is a classic striped dress. I love the nautical flair that it gives, even if I’m hours away from the nearest coastline. We can all pretend we live in the Hamptons, right? This adorable midi dress from Anthropologie originally caught my eye in light blue, but once I found this pale pink striped version, I opted for it instead as a more flirty option for my stripe obsession.
The color reminds me of a candy striper uniform, in the best kind of way. It’s happy and cheerful, and I can’t even begin to tell you how many twirls I did while wearing this dress! The skirt on it is so full and has the prettiest movement to it when you walk. Not to mention the tie around the waistline is super flattering and looks super flattering on everyone I’ve seen try this dress on! It’s a must-have for summertime if you have a stripe obsession like me.
