Happy Monday lovelies! The week of Christmas is here! Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday we were at home celebrating Thanksgiving. That’s my favorite thing about this time of year – there are so many excuses to gather with loved ones – and eat good food, too! I’m leaving for home halfway through this week, and can’t wait to get cozied up by the fire, watch Christmas movies, and bake sugar cookies. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!
Although, is anyone else having crazy un-seasonably warm weather this year?? I’m dying for a white Christmas! Though with temperatures most days breaking into the 70’s, I’ve realized that it’s not going to happen. Therefore, I’ve been living vicariously through those on Instagram that are currently either vacationing or living in what looks like a picture perfect winter wonderland.
This past weekend, we finally had a day that was almost winter-like. The morning was absolutely freezing when we headed downtown for our usual Sunday morning breakfast. I was thrilled to actually be able to bundle up and pull out some of my favorite cold-weather pieces. This cape was a favorite purchase of mine last year, and I’ve been waiting for just the right occasion to pull it back out. I’ve previously styled it in a more dressy way, but also love it paired with some leggings, over the knee boots, and a cozy sweater and beanie for a brisk weekend day.
I hope everyone has a wonderful last couple of days before the holiday! Stay tuned for an exciting collaboration I’ve been working on later this week, as well as a peek at our annual Christmas card photo from this year! In the meantime, be sure to follow along on my daily adventures through my Instagram here.
