Happy Friday everyone! This was definitely one of those weeks, but I’m so excited it’s time for the weekend! I’m finally feeling almost back to my usual self, and can’t wait to enjoy the beautiful weather we’re having here in North Carolina. Another great part about the weekend being here? An excuse to bring beauties like this one out of my closet to wear for summer fun around town!
I fell in love with this dress the instant I saw it. The off shoulder trend has been around for a while and seems here to stay, but confession: I sometimes have the hardest time wearing off shoulder pieces in a everyday environment. Girls, you know what I mean – the “off-shoulder” suddenly turns into a “not-so-cute-scrunched-up-on-your-shoulder-sleeve” the second you raise your arms above chest height. That, or you tug it down and little too hard and suddenly, you’re daring to bare more than you had anticipated.
This dress is the perfect solution for wearing the off shoulder trend in everyday life. It may be hard to see here, but there is a halter detail on this dress that keeps everything in place just as it should be. Genius! I slipped into and wore this dress with no problem whatsoever. Combined with a playful pink lip and my favorite translucent sunnies, I felt completely date-night ready.
