Despite the crazy cold winter-weather storms that are hitting other parts of the country right now, we’ve been seeing milder days this past weekend. Yesterday, the air was crisp but the sun was shinning. It was one of those days where a wool coat would be too heavy, but a trench coat would be to light. I needed something right in the middle to throw on top of my tee for a quick trip downtown.
The solution? Throwing on one of my favorite blazers. It’s tweed, making it seasonally appropriate, but cropped and light enough that it isn’t too bulky. Blazers are such a classic staple in a wardrobe, yet I always forget about throwing them on as outerwear. I have it in my head that they are too stiff and business-like, but when thrown over a tee with some leggings, it becomes the perfect transitional piece to carry me over into spring.
