Basic But Not

One of my style philosophies has always been that less is more. I’ve never been one to over accessorize, wear bright colors, or bold patterns. I’ve always felt more chic and sophisticated in a simple, clean-line, white and black ensemble. While some may call it basic and boring, but by adding just the right structures and accessories, you take turn a basic black and white look into something totally chic.

The second I spotted this midi skirt, I knew it was a must have. I immediately pictured it layered with over the knee boots and chunky sweaters in the winter. I love how simple and delicate it is, yet so much more exciting than just your average midi with the double slits. Paired with my softest white tee and the most amazing belt (told you guys I couldn’t stop wearing this one!) this look was perfect for a date night out.
