Back to Basics

We all have them – those days when nothing in our closet fits, and the things that do fit, are just too fussy to wear. I woke up the other morning feeling that way – I had intentions of wearing a dress and tights out to grab my morning coffee for the day, but everything I looked at appeared uncomfortable and uninspiring.

It’s mornings like these that going for classic basics is what works best for me. If I put on my favorite striped tee, a comfy pair of denim, and a staple coat, by the time I walk out the door, I feel confident in what I am wearing, and don’t end up regretting my decision halfway through the day. This look may not be groundbreaking fashion, but these pieces (in combination with going for an all-black look), are definitely what I would consider my “comfort clothes”. They are tried and true staples that can never let me down.
