Antique Daydream

I’ve driven through downtown Cary several times, always taking the same route, parking in the same lot, and going to the same little soda shop. I’ve never taken the time to actually wander around the streets, and follow hidden dirt pathways. Ryan and I ventured downtown for an evening stroll the other night, and discovered some of the most whimsical moments, all on the same block. The sun was just about to set, and the light cast across the small town made me feel as if I had stepped back in time for a minute, and was walking down the streets of a quaint little town during the Anne of Green Gables era. It’s amazing how taking a second to slow down and look at your surrounds can create an entirely different experience – even if it’s somewhere you’ve seen a million times.
